I am pleased to say that the Section 106 Agreement has now been agreed by all the 4 parties namely HDC, Chorus Homes, the CLT, and the Charities. It is currently with the HDC for execution which is expected to happen before you read this. This will enable HDC to grant the planning permission.
The leases are ready to be exchanged which will then proceed and following that the letting of the contract to develop. It is hoped that this can be achieved before the end of June. If this all occurs some minor site works may commence in July with more substantial works taking place once all the planning conditions are seen to be satisfied.
The CLT Board suggested the following road names to the District Council for consultation and approval.
Jewell Close
Greenfields
Orchard View
There has been discussion on agreeing the process of applying for a property either for rent or shared ownership. Any applicant must register on Homelink and ensure you have ticked the local connection box. Any applicant must decide if they are applying for shared ownership or for rent. There is no priority given to those who register early. The allocation of rented properties will not happen until 28 days before they are ready for occupation. This period will be considerably longer for shared ownership properties. Chorus have agreed to produce a draft process for circulation, this will now be in the August magazine.
